My Story
Hello, I'm Woodrow Starnes, a Florida native with a deep-rooted passion for biomedical engineering and a dedication to excellence in the medical device industry. My journey in this field began at Florida International University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, a discipline that perfectly blended my interests in science, medicine, and engineering.

After college, I embarked on a path of service and leadership by commissioning as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. This experience honed my skills in leadership, discipline, and resilience, qualities that have been invaluable throughout my career.

In late 2020, I transitioned into the medical device industry, starting my career in quality management. My first role as a quality inspector at a medical furniture company laid the foundation for my understanding of the critical nature of quality in medical devices. Eager to expand my horizons, I joined a start-up as a quality engineer, where I spent around two rewarding years. Recently, I've accepted a contract with a large medical device manufacturer, an opportunity that allows me to contribute to the industry on a larger scale.

Outside of my professional life, I am an avid enthusiast of 3D printing and modeling. This hobby not only allows me to explore the creative aspects of engineering but also to contribute to the community by selling some of my 3D prints.

Additionally, I also use this website to house my blog, "Medtech Compliance Chronicles." Through this platform, I aim to share insights, experiences, and discussions about regulatory compliance in the medical device industry, a topic I am deeply passionate about.
